Other than for provision of Delivery Services by the Delivery Partner, Scooton does not share any personal data and location-based information of the Delivery Partner with third parties unless requisitioned by

The Delivery Partner, whether orally or in writing (via email, SMS etc.) for any purpose whatsoever, including but not limited to availing loan from financial institutions, filing of tax returns etc.

Other than for the purpose of undertaking Delivery Services, the Delivery Partner must not disclose any confidential information about Scooton, including but not limited to these Delivery Partner T&C, its business strategies, pricing, revenues, expenses, User data, and order information to third parties.

DATA RETENTION & ACEESS

The Personal information and data that Scooton may collect, use, receive, possess, process, store, deal, disclose, transfer or handle shall be stored till the purpose for which it is being collected for is fulfilled.

When we no longer need to use your information and there is no need for us to keep it to comply with our legal or regulatory obligations, we’ll either remove it from our systems or depersonalize it so that we can’t identify you.

The user whose Personal information and Data is collected, received, possessed, processed, stored, transferred, dealt or handled may inquire as to the nature of data stored or processed by Scooton. The person will be provided reasonable access to the person’s information and data held by us. PERMISSIONS REQUIRED FOR USING OUR MOBILE APPLICATIONS

When any of Scooton mobile apps is installed on a smartphone device, a list of permissions appear and are required for the app to function effectively. There is no option to customize this list. For Android based smartphones the permissions that Scooton requires and the data that shall be accessed and its use is as below:

CALL PHONE-The app requires access to make phone calls so that you can make phone calls to your contacts directly through the app.
INTERNET- The Internet is essential for the working of the APP.
ACCESS NETWORK STATE- This permission is required to get information about the network, this is required to know whether the user is having an active network connection or not. Helps us notify the user in case the APP doesn’t work when there is no network connection.
ACCESS COARSE LOCATION- This helps us identify the rough location of the customer.
ACCESS FINE LOCATION-This permission helps in getting the exact location of the customer where they usually need the service
ACCESS NETWORK STATE-This permission is required to get information about the network, this is required to know whether the user is having an active network connection or not. Helps us notify the user in case the APP doesn’t work when there is no network connection.
RECEIVE-This permission is needed for setting up a Cloud Messaging Client App on Android for sending push notifications
RECEIVE SMS-This permission is needed for reading messages like OTP related sent by Scooton for better customer experience while performing any transaction or logging in
READ CONTACTS-This permission is needed for reading contacts on customer phone and call them through app
READ GSERVICES-Allows this app to read Google service configuration for accessing the maps
WAKE LOCK-To restrict phone from getting locked by itself while user is tracking the vehicle
RECEIVE BOOT COMPLETED-To receive a callback after system gets booted

ADVERTISING

This app may contain third party advertisements and links to third party sites. Scooton does not make any representation as to the accuracy or suitability of any of the information contained in those advertisements or sites and does not accept any responsibility or liability for the conduct or content of those advertisements and sites and the offerings made by the third parties.

Advertising keeps Scooton and many of the websites and services you use free of charge. We work hard to make sure that ads are safe, unobtrusive, and as relevant as possible.

Third party advertisements and links to other sites where goods or services are advertised are not endorsements or recommendations by Scooton of the third party sites, goods or services. Scooton takes no responsibility for the content of any of the ads, promises made, or the quality/reliability of the products or services offered in all advertisements.

UPDATION AND CORRECTION OF INFORMATION

Customers have the right to request the restriction of certain uses and disclosures of personally identifiable information as follows. You can contact us in order to (1) update or correct your personally identifiable information, (2) change your preferences with respect to communications and other information you receive from us, or (3) delete the personally identifiable information maintained about you on our systems (subject to the following paragraph), by cancelling your account. You may be receiving reports of fraudulent emails with the subject lines RELATED TO OUR SERVICES like “Cash back Offer”, “Order No. Update’’ “Verify Info,” Promotion gifts and cheques” “Some important information is missing” and “Please fulfill the documents attached to verify your identity.” The fraudulent email may have an attached file that may contain a virus or other malware.
If you receive a message matching this description below, do not open the email or click on the attachment. Delete the email immediately or forward it to the corporate IT team & Vigilance team.
Scooton does not request, via unsolicited mail or e-mail, payment or personal information in return for goods in transit or in Scooton custody. If the fraudulent e-mail resulted in financial loss you should contact your banking institution immediately through the appropriate channels. Scooton is not responsible for any charges or costs incurred as a result of unauthorized or fraudulent activity that abuses Scooton name, service marks and logos

UPDATES

Scooton reserves the right to add, revise, amend, modify or delete any part of this Policy (in part or in full) at its discretion. SALE OF BUSINESS
